This is a great setting to obtain a well rounded preceptor-ship in medical oncology and hematology. NP see patients in the clinic and hospital independently.

Adult Male Correctional Center

Coyote Ridge Correctional Center providing Urgent, Emergent, acute, and chronic care for adult males aged 18- end of life care.

Busy comprehensive community health center. Mix of acute and primary care visits. Best for advanced students but will take all levels of students.

I work 12-hour shift in our Same day/convenient care/after-hours clinic. I see an Average of 30 patients per shift (22-36). The clinic sees a proportional mix of newborns through geriatrics with an approx 50% Spanish speaking population. This is a Primary care health center with the Convenient Care Clinic seeing a mix of approx 65% acute and 35% chronic visits vs. the Paneled providers who see approx. 25% acute and 75% chronic. This preceptorship is best suited for more advanced students, but I am willing to precept students at all levels.

Occupational medicine clinic; treating injured workers

Treating injuries on the job; strong ortho workup as well as psych; working with multiple disciplines.

Level 5 trauma ER serving pediatric, adult, elderly, and very elderly, and OB/Gyn populations. Also urgent care, family and hospitalist

This preceptorship also highlights unique challenges faced by rural populations. This preceptorship fulfills requirements for chronic and acute problems for family, adult, acute care and ER NP programs. Average 2-3 patients per hour most days.

General surgery and trauma, no operating room.

In patient and out patient setting. 12yr old and up. General surgery, trauma.

Hospital based Multidiciplinary Addiction Recovery Unit

Students will get experience working on a 14 bed dual diagnosis Addiction Recovery Unit. Addiction Medicine is primary with a psychiatric mental health component.

Hospitalist, 12 hr night shifts, cross call. Busy hospital with complicated patients.

I have 9 years experience in hospital medicine including 2 years in a neuro icu and 2 years in medical icu. 12 hours are not required and we can find a schedule that will help you reach your hours. If you are traveling from another area I may have a place to stay for cheap while in Spokane.
