Suicide Prevention Training/Update

Posted over 8 years ago by Serena Williams

Hello CRNPA Members;

We are all aware of the requirement to have Suicide prevention training for renewing your license, this is required starting this year (requirement introduced 2014, we were given two years GRACE period), if this is the year that your CME is required for relicensing. As far as I could find out the state is not sending out notices when your next CME requirement is due.

The training program that is offered by University of Washington Continuing Nursing Education/UWCNE.org is a 6 hour independent self-study/modules, taken at your own pace, for $95.00

After looking at all their options, I came to the conclusion this would be the easiest for ARNP‘s.  As you will see when you log into UWCNE.org there are group options (Serena Williams and I concluded group option would be difficult to put together, and cost about the same).

This Suicide Prevention Training program that is offered by University of Washington Continuing Nursing Education/UWCNE.org is approved till June 30, 2017, the U of W has applied for the approval of this program with added Federal requirements that have been added.   Joan Rieland /Lead Planner assured me that the program will pass approval for the new requirements.

To summarize:

This program meets all Suicide Prevention Requirement and it can be done at your own pace, for the cost of $ 95.00
